Tongtuo DN20 Single-Jet Meters Shipped To Russia: The Details We Obsess Over Are What Matter Most To Our Customers

Last week, a shipment of DN20 single-jet water meters left the Tongtuo factory, bound for Novosibirsk, Russia.

"This client had extremely strict requirements for low-temperature metering," said Tang, the Foreign Trade Manager. "When we sent samples earlier, they froze the meters solid in a -25°C freezer and then immediately subjected them to hot water-repeating the cycle several times. Our registers didn't budge, which is what ultimately secured the order."

"It all comes down to materials and structure," explained Factory Manager Wang. "The meter body is hot-forged from HPb59-1 brass; it's dense and withstands pressure shocks of up to 1.6 MPa. The internal mechanism is even more refined: the impeller uses imported POM material that doesn't become brittle at -30°C, and the bearing features a ruby jewel paired with a hard-alloy shaft-sensitive enough to turn even with minimal flow, yet maintaining stable accuracy over years of use. We also added an extra step of potting-compound sealing to prevent condensation; no matter the temperature difference between inside and out, the dial glass stays crystal clear-no wiping away fog to read the meter."

Manager Zhu in the office was equally meticulous about customs clearance details. "Invoices, EAC certificates, metrological licenses-we couldn't afford a single error, not even a punctuation mark. Every wooden crate was fumigated and stamped with the IPPC mark, and we added two extra layers of anti-freeze bubble wrap inside to ensure the meters arrived in perfect condition, regardless of the cold or the rough handling during the twenty-day journey."

Manager Tang added that this was the client's third repeat order. "From testing a few dozen units to bulk purchasing, it ultimately comes down to performance in the field. Trust in 'Made in China' within the Russian market is built on the long-term stability of every single meter."

As the goods were being loaded, Manager Wang patted the shipping mark on the wooden crate and remarked, "Making water meters is just like being a person: if the details are solid, you can stand tall anywhere."

Traveling via the China-Europe Railway Express, this batch of DN20 single-jet meters will soon be quietly recording the journey of every drop of water from within utility shafts across Siberia.
