This week, Tongtuo Instruments' gear workshop successfully completed a shipment of precision components to India. A total of 5,200 transmission gears have been packaged and are about to be shipped to Pune, India. This order, centered around 5,000 center gears and accompanied by 200 sets of dedicated drive gears, will be used to upgrade the transmission systems of local textile machinery.
"These gears look ordinary, but they are actually all 'heat-resistant'," said Factory Manager Wang, picking up a sample. "We adjusted the material formula and heat treatment process specifically to adapt to India's high-temperature and high-humidity environment. Our customers used to use European products, but now they've switched to us because they value this targeted approach."
Designed for High-Temperature Environments
The gear components shipped this time have two main features:
1. The center gears use a special coating process: a micron-level phosphate layer is added to the alloy steel surface, which not only prevents rust but also maintains lubrication for a long time, effectively coping with India's dusty working environment.
2. Convenient Pre-installation of Matching Gear Sets: Each set of drive gears has undergone tooth profile optimization, resulting in a higher installation tolerance. Dedicated installation tools are included in the packaging, simplifying the on-site installation process.
Quality Commitment Across Time Zones
Foreign Trade Manager Tang has been adjusting her work schedule for the past few weeks. "Our Indian clients prefer afternoon meetings, so we have to connect in the evening," she said with a smile. "Their technical team is very meticulous; all parameters need to be verified repeatedly. We sent samples three times, and only after the final data satisfied them did the order get finalized."
Mr. Zhou, the quality inspector, paid special attention to this batch of goods. "My daughter studied in India and said the summers there are extremely hot," he said while inspecting the last batch of gears. "So I paid special attention to the heat treatment process, controlling the temperature half a degree higher than the standard. Our gears have to withstand the test there."
