Last week, Tongtuo Instruments completed the packing and shipment of 100,000 brass check valves to Italy. The pallets were neatly stacked, and the outer carton markings were in Italian. Foreign Trade Manager Tang checked the packing list and signed for release.
"Our Italian customers have very high requirements for batch consistency," said Manager Tang. "100,000 units is no small number. They designated a third party to conduct random inspections at the factory, three times higher than for regular orders. We're not afraid of the inspections."
Sealing Performance: Zero leakage under 1.6MPa reverse pressure
Factory Manager Wang picked up a newly produced check valve at the inspection station, pointing to the sealing surface and saying, "The sealing ring uses imported EPDM, which has stable elasticity from -20℃ to 80℃. The valve seat contact surface has been precision machined and ground, with a surface finish controlled below Ra0.8. After the sealing ring is pressed, the contact area exceeds 95%." % 200 valves were randomly selected from the customer's site for a 1.6MPa reverse pressure test three times consecutively, with zero pressure drop.
He added a key design element: "If the check valve closes too quickly, it can cause water hammer, impacting pipe joints. Our valve disc stroke has undergone hundreds of dynamic tests to find the critical point that just prevents backflow without causing vibration. This data is the result of ten years of accumulation."
Packaging and Data: Test records are bound to each box.
Office Manager Zhu is responsible for export documentation and packaging. "Each box includes corresponding sealing test data, individually linked to the box number. Customers can scan the code to retrieve the production record for that batch. During Italian customs clearance, this data package is submitted as part of the technical documents, significantly improving clearance efficiency."
Specific packaging arrangements were also made: "The check valves are individually wrapped in moisture-proof bags, the outer boxes are reinforced with corrugated cardboard, and the pallets are wrapped with film and affixed with humidity indicator cards. Customers can confirm upon opening the box that it hasn't been exposed to moisture during transport."
Why did the customer purchase 100,000 units at once?
Manager Tang summarized: "This batch of check valves will be used for installation at the front end of water meters in apartment buildings in central and northern Italy. The project is large-scale and has a tight schedule, requiring extremely high delivery capabilities and batch consistency. The customer considered four suppliers during the inquiry phase and ultimately chose us, primarily for three reasons: complete certifications, transparent sampling data, and traceable delivery records for European projects."
The container has departed from Ningbo Port. This batch of Tomtop check valves will arrive on the Mediterranean coast, embedded in the Italian water supply network, responding to the most demanding inspections with a leak-proof seal.
